Chartered Building Surveyor based on the Isle of Wight, with over 30 years experience. Offering a range of surveying services for both commercial and domestic properties. About Me

I am a chartered Building Surveyor of some 30 years professional experience. I have worked in large consultancy practices for most of this time and set up my own Building Surveying company in 2019.

I am now largely involved with preparing RICS Building Survey reports for residential clients and cover a wide area throughout Surrey, Hampshire, across London and the Isle of Wight, where I now live and have an office servicing the Island. I cover all residential property types, from 1-bedroom apartments through to large country estates. Please see my Gallery page for examples of my previous commercial and residential property surveys.

Subject to local CAA restrictions, I include a drone survey as standard with all of my Building Survey inspections. Additionally, I can provide a smaller, bespoke drone survey report on any specific area of concern.

My Background

I have a Masters Degree in Historic Building Conservation and have been fortunate enough to be able to provide specialist professional surveying services on many protected buildings. I have managed the technical elements of some of London’s finest listed buildings and have applied my conservation skills in managing planned maintenance works on some of the protected estates of London, including Covent Garden Market, the Crown Estate properties and the South Kensington residential estates, to name a few. This has extended to providing general building pathology and defect advice, as well as Expert Witness services.

My previous work within larger consultancy practices has been predominantly London-based, with extensive travel into France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and Spain conducting commercial technical due diligence surveys for a variety of clients, including investors, overseas funds, property companies and tenants as part of acquisitions, disposals and commercial occupation.
